This privacy policy governs your use of the software application DashLinQ ("Application") for mobile devices that was created by GROM Audio. The Application; DashLinQ is a car friendly launcher App that makes driving easy and safe with your Android Smartphone
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
Automatically Collected Information
The Application obtains the information about your Android device provided when you download and launch the Application. Your account name and generic device information (device type, OS version) is used to register the application on our servers. Device information contains no private information and help us to troubleshoot issues and improve user experience. We may use the information provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.

android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO - Used for Speech to text. Shared with STT engine only
android.permission.READ_CONTACTS - Used to allow hands free calling via STT engine. Not shared
android.permission.READ_SMS - Used to read SMS aloud while driving. Not shared
android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - used to allow for Local media indexing and playback. Not shared
android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION - used to get infomation for directions. Shared with Mapping application
android.permission.CALL_PHONE - used to dial handsfree. Not shared
android.permission.BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE - notifications from media players, SMS and messaging apps to be shown in the main screen. Not shared.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?
No. We will not share your information with third parties unless required by law.

Automatic Data Collection and Advertising
We may work with analytics companies to help us understand how the Application is being used, such as the frequency and duration of usage. We work with advertisers and third party advertising networks, who need to know how you
interact with advertising provided in the Application which helps us keep to the Application free. Advertisers and advertising networks use some of the information collected by the Application, including,
but not limited to, the unique identification ID of your mobile device and your mobile telephone number. To protect the anonymity of this information, we use an encryption technology to help ensure that
these third parties can’t identify you personally. These third parties may also obtain anonymous information about other applications you’ve downloaded to your mobile device, the mobile websites you visit,
your non-precise location information (e.g., your zip code), and other non- precise location information in order to help analyze and serve anonymous targeted advertising on the Application and elsewhere.
We may also share encrypted versions of information you have provided in order to enable our partners to append other available information about you for analysis or advertising related use.
Note that if you upgraded to the advertising-free version of the Dashlinq, either by purchasing eligible GROM Audio products, or by upgrading to the paid version of Dashlinq, the above policy “Automatic Data Collection and Advertising”
does not apply to you as your information is not being shared with the advertisers.
What are my opt-out rights?
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information
We will retain Automatically Collected information for up to 24 months and thereafter may store it in aggregate. If you’d like us to delete Automatically Collected Data that was provided via the Application, please contact us at privacy@gromaudio.com and we will respond in a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the Automatically Collected Data may be required in order for the Application to function properly.
Children
The application is not inteded for use by children under the age of 16. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child using the app without their consent, he or she might contact us at privacy@gromaudio.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.
Security
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Application. Please be aware that, although we endeavor provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
California Privacy Rights
Pursuant to California Civil Code sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents are entitled to ask us for a notice describing what categories of personal customer information
we share with third parties or corporate affiliates for those third parties' or corporate affiliates' direct marketing purposes. That notice will identify the categories of

Your Consent
By using the Application, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing," means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United States. If you reside outside the United States your information will be transferred, processed and stored under United States privacy standards.
