draining battery VL2 in GM car (SAAB 9-5 NG 2011)

Is there any setting or thing what can be done that the battery drainage can be stopped? Never had issues firing up the car while the car was sitting for 1-2 weeks. Since I have installed the VL2 the car is basically dead after approx a week. First I thought my battery is already old but my last battery lasted now only 1 1/2 years and is now dead again since the VLine is draining it all the time. Any possibility to get an updated so the GM LAN gets the proper signals to shut it down?
