I'm a fan of the rotary knob interface on infotainment systems and just noticed the VLine2 knob helper plug-in. Can anyone provide more info about what it does? Is there any recommended hardware as well? I don't see anything in the docs or on the sales site.

What knob are you talking about? I have have the vLine2 for a 2012 Lexus GX460. The stock Lexus Infotainment system doesn't have a knob. Is there an aftermarket unit I can buy? Something like this:

Sorry for the delayed response! If our interactions here are ever slow, I would recommend opening a ticket here to get a quick response:

It is used for the knob inputs on the VLine, and also used to translate the mouse information to our VLine Android Launcher called DashLinq. The mouse information translated to the DashLinq launcher is used for the highlighted boxes you see around different elements in the UI.
The knob linked above seems to only be compatible with Mac or Windows. It's hard to say if it will work for Android devices. It also appears to only control volume and tracks and does not appear to be a mouse replacement.
