  • Vline VL2 has disabled the mouse after the latest firmware update

VLine VL2 Infotainment - LEX89VL2 firmware update has disabled the mouse so I can’t launch VLine from OEM menu. Pressing the Menu after OEM screen has launched normally switches to the VLine screen but now it doesn’t work. I have to press and hold the Menu button to go to the OEM menu but I then can’t use the mouse to select Media/Aux to launch VLine. Phone seems to connect to CarPlay so I know that it’s running.

My car is a Lexus 200t (2015) and I’m still running old version of Android.

Ok, reset of Vline seems to have brought it back. I can press and hold the car Menu button to go to VLine. Mouse works in VLine there but not in thr OEM menu.

Once I get Vline running, it doesn’t back to reverse camera as well.

Behaviour has changed so the usual key sequence doesn’t seem to work to launch Vline.

Audio is also not coming through. There’s only static noise.

I’ve factory reset the Vline without any luck.

Just in case anyone else runs into this issue it appears that the problem was that somehow my update appeared to be for a non-navi unit, hence the loss of split screen and possibly the loss of functionality of the mouse? Regardless of what happened during the update, through instructions from support I was able to load the previous version on a usb stick and install and all appears to have returned to normal.
