  • Lexus CT200h - Android settings reset after using microphone

I have had a bit of a problem with my audio sounding squashed and low quality. GROM was quick to help me with a solution, setting my media volume lower in the android 12 audio settings. This worked well for me and my audio sounds much better, however if I am using CarPlay with Apple Maps or Google maps and I want to enter an address by voice, I click the microphone/siri icon and the audio mutes while I speak as it should. The audio then fades back in very loud. I check my android settings and the media volume is back on 100. I set it back to about 70. Repeat the process and the settings once again reset. This happens in both wired/wireless. Is this a bug with Android 12 and CarPlay? Wondering if anyone else has this issue. Thanks

We saw this issue on older versions of the Android 12 software before version 4.16.0.0. We fixed this issue and applied the fix as of version 4.16.0.0, and the fix should be present for future updates. Can you try updating the software on the VLine2 and let us know if the issue continues?

Here is how to update the software:
    1. Connect to WiFi (Settings -> Network & Internet -> WiFi)
    2. Check for Updates (Settings -> System -> VLine System Updates -> Check for Updates)

    Thanks,
    Heath
