Just had VL2 installed in 2005 Lexus LS430. The screen is very washed out. Adjusting contrast does not help. Can I make an adjustment somewhere to help this situation?

I have a recent Vline2 Lex78 unit installed, which overall is great.
Car is a 2012 Lexus GS 250 F Sport, with the mouse type audio control and navigation.
But I can't find the settings to ensure it goes back to android auto after the car was in reverse.
Anyone manage to find this or can point me in the right direction?
I've checked the android settings, the three bars and the Vline2 setting menus without any joy.
