How to manually set DATE and TIME on VLine VL2

If the VLine VL2 system is not connected to the internet, you must manually set the date and time for the system. It will help to prevent CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity difficulties and drop-offs.

Here is how to:

1. On the VLine main UI screen, tap on the two dots at the bottom to get to the second page of the VLine UI.

2. Go to Settings.

3. Tap on the black circle with the three lines on the left. The floating navigation arrows will appear.




4. Scroll down to System --> Date and Time

5. Set the correct Date and Time for your VLine device.

I've done this numerous times. However, if I leave the car parked for a longer period of time, next time the VLINE powers on and the logo is shown, the clock defaults back to some random time. Since the VLINE doesn't have it's own Internet connection it's in essence never correct.

I note in this video, the VLINE clock top-right says 10:11PM - same problem or really recording after 10PM?
