Black screen after firmware update on Acura RDX

I have a HON3VL2 installed on a 2018 Acura RDX.
I got the latest firmware for GROM-VL2-HON3 which was still pointing to https://gromaudio.com/downloads/firm...l1_hon3_27.hex in the following page:

When I inserted the USB, I got a prompt to upgrade to the newer version of firmware. After reading the USB for more than 30 minutes, the display still stays off.
Now, when I want to restart the firmware update, there is no screen to proceed. Can someone from Grom audio please help so that I can safely use the car again?
If others have come across this issue and know of a solution, please help out with suggestions.

I hope this issue cleared up for you. In the future, I wouldn't use the website for updates. V27 is nowhere near the latest version. V41 is available now. V39 is the firmware that can be downloaded directly via wifi and not require a flashdrive. I would not install v39 though as it disables the MENU button long press feature to display VL2 on the upper DU with OEM audio being used. Contact support during weekday business hours and they'll hook you up with the latest and greatest. Good luck!
