What does this red thing mean in the CarPlay icon?

Hello fellow Gromers!

I'm running Vline2 in a 2004 Land Cruiser and been having trouble with it connecting, and right now it's not. Bluetooth is operable on both devices but the CarPlay icon has a weird red thing in it. Can anyone explain what it is, why it's there, and if it is cause of not full connecting?

The red "D" in the corner is normal. It indicates that CarPlay is working through VLine. The green color of the CarPlay button also indicates that CarPlay is activated on your device and in the active state.

You can tap on CarPlay icon and then tap on "Show UI" icon, and see if the stereo screen will switch to CarPlay screen.

It is possible that you missed one of the prompts on your phone (there are three prompts on your phone that you need to accept to use CarPlay). You can try to reset the CarPlay connection as it is shown here:
