  • VLINE2 LEX5VL2 hangs or restart every few minutes.

    Hello,
    I bought VLINE2 LEX5VL2 in 2020.
From the beginning there was and are problems with that radio.
After I first time upgrade software and firmware in 202 then screen made BLACK.
Like some user noticed here: https://gromaudio.com/forum/forum/ma...tempted-update
I needed to unbrick radio ... with succes. I know how to to this.
Every time when vgroom release new firmware for this radio and I start after auto upgrade then screen making black.
Every time I needed to unbrick this radio. Finally of course new firmware was upgraded always but for me it was strange because this firmwares programed allways too fast.
Why too fast? Because screen made black ALWAYS after 1 second then I pressed UPGRADE BUTTON. I will not be sure if it ever programmed correct.
All untill today when I upgrade radio by current FW V20VL3.70.0. and VBase 20.70.
After this upgrade radio hangs or restart every few minutes. There is no possibility to work longer then few minutes.
Of corse I made factory reset but it will not helps.

    https://youtu.be/hVPEic2rHDg - hangs in minut 1:37, 8:02
https://youtu.be/VKaEPMFT3vg - after ignitation off radio hangs 01:30 ... and need next ignitation off/on

Right know I don't know what to do.
I would like to progrmam radio but by FULL firmware but by USB (to be sure that it upgraded correct) but I can't.
There is not firmwares of grooaudio website. Radio software shows that firmware is the latest but I don't belive with that it is and it programmed correct ever.
I will he honest. This radio never work longer in car then few hours withour restart/hang.
Right know when radio have newest software and FW V20VL3.70.0. and VBase 20.70 then I can not program it again by OS system.
There are terrible problems with that radio.

Since the unit was purchased in 2020, we will need to look deeper into this issue, as there are multiple things that can cause these issues.

We've updated our hardware since 2020, but we still have some of these units for internal use. If possible, can you send us a photo of the inside of the VLine unit so we can check what hardware is installed? From there, we can build a unit here with the same hardware, and see if the firmware is causing these issues.

Feel free to contact us here as well if email is easier:
