  • Lexus LS430 Questions

Hoping to buy a VLINE2 for my 2003 Lexus LS430 with nav. Want to make sure I do everything correctly. Here are my questions. Preemptive apology if this information is on the website. I couldn't find it.

    1) For the backup camera system, I see that there is a cable that can be purchased as an add on item. What cameras is this compatible with? Does it provide power to those cameras? How does VLINE2 know you've put the car in reverse?

    2) I have an old Sirius XM portable module with a lifetime membership. I can't upgrade or swap it out. It has analog audio out. If I put an analog to bluetooth converter on it will I be able to stream audio on the VLINE2? I am still going to buy the VLINE2, but while I have my back end opened up, I want to decide whether it is worth the trouble to put in the Sirius XM antenna.

Appreciate the help in this matter.

    Hello,

We appreciate your interest in GROM VLine VL2 system. The correct model of GROM VLine VL2 for 2003 Lexus LS430 is LEX3LVL2, it is available here:
    https://gromaudio.com/store/vline/grom-vl2-lex3l.html

    1. If you want to add the aftermarket backup camera, you will need VAUX cable:
    https://gromaudio.com/store/vline_ac...able-vaux.html
It will help you to provide the video signal to the VLine and your car stereo display. It will not power your backup camera; you will power it by connecting to the car. You will also connect the camera to the reverse wire of your car stereo system. It will trigger the camera to activate once in reverse.

Here is the explainer video: https://youtu.be/t5ZJ5z9OAY0

    2. It is possible to connect the XM tuner with the analog audio out. You will use the same VAUX cable as it is mentioned in p.1

Would like to know if you purchased and how the installation went. My display is mostly shades of red and very hard to read. Did you buy and did you have the same issue.

That is not normal. A couple of suggestions:
        1. Try to disconnect the main VLine /VLite unit from the power and the video cables and leave it disconnected for 10 minutes. Then, reconnect everything and cycle the ignition. See if that will help.
        2. If that did not help, contact our technical team at https://gromaudio.com/support.html We will help!
