Install Aftermarket Backup Camera into Infiniti 2008-2013 No NAV | GROM VLine CarPlay Android NISK

To install an aftermarket backup camera into Nissan and Infiniti vehicles without factory navigation, follow these steps using the GROM VLine VL2 system for CarPlay and Android Auto integration NISKVL2 for select Infiniti 2008-2013 no-nav stereo:

Steps:

Prepare the Vehicle:

Ensure the car is off and disconnect the battery for safety.
Access the rear of the vehicle where the backup camera will be mounted.

Mount the Aftermarket Backup Camera:

You can install the aftermarket camera in the desired position, typically near the license plate.
Route the camera wiring from the vehicle rear toward the dashboard.

Connect the Backup Camera to GROM VLine VL2:

Run the camera video cable to the front of the car, where the factory stereo is located.
Connect the camera video output to the GROM VLine VL2 system.

Install the GROM VLine VL2 System:

Power the Camera:

The backup camera needs a power source, typically from the reverse light circuit, so the camera activates when you shift into reverse. Test to ensure the camera powers up correctly when the vehicle is in reverse.

Test the System:

Reconnect the car battery.
Turn on the vehicle, engage reverse, and verify the backup camera feed appears on the stereo via the GROM VLine VL2 system.
Confirm CarPlay and Android Auto integration functions as expected.

VLine is fully integrated into your car stereo. You can use the car stereo and steering wheel controls to operate VLine. In addition, VLine does not disable any factory features, such as FM or Climate controls and factory backup cameras.
