  • When I install VLine Lite (VLite), will it disable any of my car factory functions, such as factory car Bluetooth?
    VLite will not disable any factory functions.
  • Will my car stereo or steering wheel controls work with VLite?
    Stereo and steering wheel controls will work for Bluetooth and USB music streaming, and for Local Music plugin. If you will mirror your phone via Apple or Google mirroring, you will use your phone controls to change track or start navigation. Steering wheel/car stereo controls will work for Bluetooth and USB music streaming.
  • Do I need my phone to work with VLite?
    Yes you will need your phone with VLite. Your phone will be mirrored (projected in Car mode) to the car stereo screen.
  • If I stream the music with Bluetooth with VLite, can I see track titles?
    Yes you will see track titles, artists and albums information.
  • Does VLite require any internet connectivity?
    No, VLite does not need any internet connectivity. All apps run on the phone.
  • Do I need any additional items to mirror my iPhone or Android Smartphone to car stereo screen?
    No, you do not need any accessories except the original USB cable for wired connection

    Bought the Vlite V2 for my 2017 MDX dual screen set-up. I installed it myself with the help of the Grom video tutorial on youtube. It shows you how to remove the radio, vents etc and also how to intsall the connections to the module. Everything was plug and play. Overall it took me around 2 hours being careful not to miss any steps. Once the Vlite was installed, it connected with my wife's phone with no issues. Standard bluetooth setup. It's really nice having Apple Carplay for this year's car that had everything pretty much except the carplay ability. This brings it together and it is the best one out there. Oh mind you, it has wireless carplay and the ability to sideload netflix, youtube etc. I wont be installing those anytime soon but it is good to know that it's there when i want it. Sometimes you can catch this for a pretty good deal with promo codes.. i paid $450 for mine with the promo code bought and installed February 2024. I give it 5 star for bridging what was needed for this 2017 MDX
