  • This kit is for the installation behind the radio. If you need to install in the TRUNK - please buy BMW adapter with TRUNK cable. If your car has navigation or DSP (Digital Sound Processing) - please use BMW adapter with TRUNK cable.
  • Integrated Bluetooth Car Interface adds Hands Free Calling and Wireless Audio to the original factory car stereo. The system comes with built-in Bluetooth and microphone. GROM-BT3 Bluetooth car adapter has exnetsion port that can be used for Aux-In 3.5mm audio and USB charging with optional add-on cable that is sold separately.
  • Hands Free Car Phone Calls: Make hands free phone calls in your car (HFP), accept or reject phone call using car stereo or steering wheel button, and talk using car stereo speakers and provided microphone.
  • Wireless music streaming: Stream music from smartphone to the factory stereo via Bluetooth wireless audio (A2DP), control music with the car stereo buttons or steering wheel controls (AVRCP).
  • GROM Bluetooth car kit is compatible with all smartphones, Android and iPhone and with all audio streaming phone applications or players (Spotify, Pandora and others).
  • Optional AUX-IN cable (sold separately): Add 5FT 3.5mm audio AUX cable to factory car stereo for direct aux audio connection.The 5V USB charging connector will charge most of the smarphones, including iPhone and Android.     Important Compatibility Limitation for select BMW vehicles:
    BMW X3 (E83) production date 09/05 and up with DSP without navigation, CD changer and iPod connection
    BMW Z4 (E85) production date 02/06 and up with DSP without navigation, CD changer and iPod connection
    BMW Z4 (E86) coupe production date 05/06 and up with DSP without navigation, CD changer and iPod connection

    These vehicles above do not require a GROM DSP adapter (use analog DSP) and can be installed at stereo or trunk, However, the audio part will not work until the stereo is programmed (retrofitted) to accept the CD Changer (BMW calls it “vehicle order”). Please contact your local BMW dealer and ask them to retrofit the stereo to accept the CD changer.

    GROM will work without reprogramming if your car falls into the above range and has a Navigation, CD changer, or iPod connection.

    **For BMW with SiriusXM satellite radio, the XM radio needs to be disconnected for GROM to work.
